Just like last year, Reliance Jio has rolled out a Happy New
Year offer to mark the end of 2018.
The offer will see Jio's prepaid users be entitled to cashbacks
on their recharges.
The move comes just days after Reliance Jio extended the
validity of the Jio Celebrations Pack that provides 2GB additional data per day
for five days.

What you need to know about the offer
Cashback
Under this year's Happy New Year offer, Jio customers with
prepaid connections will be entitled to a 100% cashback on a recharge of Rs.
399.
Recharges of other amounts will not be eligible for the cashback
offer.
The offer was rolled out on December 28, and will last through
January up until January 31.
However, there's a catch.
The cashback is in the form of AJIO coupons
Catch
The 100% cashback will be awarded in the form of AJIO coupons.
For those unaware, AJIO is a fashion e-retail website run by
Reliance Jio.
However, that's not all.
The coupons will only be valid on a purchase of goods worth Rs.
1,000 and above, and have to be used by March 15, 2019.
Jio's offers have grown gradually less endearing over time
Observation
To refresh your memory, Reliance Jio entered the market in 2016,
and for several months offered all its services to customers for free.
When it did start charging money, it incentivized subscriptions
through exciting offers, including wide-ranging cash back offers.
However, after the company captured the market and became a
telecom giant, its offers have become gradually less endearing, the Happy New
Year offer being the latest example.
