Google has reported a new kind of bug that can help hackers. For its attack, the hacker sends only one photo to user's android smartphone, who becomes victim of hacking when he just open it. This photo is in the PNG format.
Which user's are in danger & how it happens?
- If the next time you meet a cute photo of a stomach or a funny number with some unknown number or mail, do not open it. The special file can open the photo of the PNG format in the device as well as damage the device.
- It is not that every photo of this format is like this and this format is unsafe, but there is a way in which hackers are using the format of the hacking trick to effect the photos.
- It will have an impact on the Android 7.0 to 9.0 versions of smartphones.

- Google has issued an alert about this bug in its latest Android Security patches & has stated that it is dangerously harmful to the framework. The hacker can know your location if it reaches your device.
- Additionally, the host can also control the device with the help of remote access. Such photos can be used to know the location of the user with the help of WhatsApp. These are just like normal photographs and they can not even be identified separately.
These PNG format photos can come through WhatsApp or SMS
- Generally, such a picture can come to you with Whatsapp or SMS. In this case, you open the photo or any link & delete it often after viewing it.
- Once you click on the photo, you will look something funny, but your phone will be affected at back end and you will not even know.

How hackers make this PNG format photos to hack?
Hackers attach a masked link to PNG formats, which look like a Google link at a glance. These links send information to an IP logged server.
How to stay protected from this?
Before opening any photo or link, make sure that it is sent on behalf of a friend or known person. If there is any photo or link from an unknown number, then it is wise to avoid opening it or directly deleting that file or photo.
