Reliance Jio has just announced picture-in-picture mode for JioTV app users on Android and while the JioTV app has over 600 channels on its platform, here's how you can enable the PiP mode on the app.
Reliance Jio has just announced that the telco now has over 300 million subscribers in India and considering the fact that Reliance Jio launched its services in the year 2016, this is a huge number in terms of the user base. On the other hand, the fact that Reliance Jio is offering some of the cheapest data and tariff plans in the country has also helped the telecommunication service provider to witness such a huge success.
Now, in a recent development, Reliance Jio has started offering the picture-in-picture mode for Android users in India. It might not seem to be a big addition for some, however, Reliance Jio is trying to offer the best experience to their users and with the addition of the picture-in-picture mode or PiP mode, users will now have uninterrupted streaming experience when they are navigating through the JioTV app.
In simple words, the picture-in-picture mode for JioTV app users on Android will also them to watch all the content on JioTV app while texting, browsing or doing something else on their device through a small hovering thumbnail.
Reliance Jio has also updated the changelog of JioTV app which now specifies that 7the picture-in-picture mode is now available for the app’s Android version. On the other hand, the new feature will only work on Android smartphones running Android 8.0 Oreo or above. In order to enable this feature in the JioTV app, you need to update the app from Google Play Store and if you are a new user, just download the app and register yourself as a user in order to use the JioTV service on your Android smartphone along with the PiP mode.
This comes after WhatsApp recently introduced the picture-in-picture mode for its users which made users enable to watch Facebook, Instagram or YouTube videos right inside the WhatsApp chat without the need to actually open the respective third-party apps.
