Facebook's new feature for group video streaming

Facebook keeps toiling itself to keep all its users engaged and the slew of features it keeps offering us is one of the major parts of its strategies. The latest in the menu is Watch Party functionality which lets all the members of a group watch a video at the same time together.

What already sounds interesting, the tech giant has tried to make it more fun by adding the chat feature. Thus, when a group watches a funny, action-packed or any type of video, all the group members can simultaneously chat with each other which should raise the fun factor.

A user from the group can take the charge of inviting other members to watch the video together. Moreover, the same user can also set a queue of different videos for continuous streaming. This controlling user can also grant the control of functions to other users in the group. Moreover, any member can suggest the consecutive videos with the crowdsourcing feature.

Earlier, Facebook was testing the feature with a limited number of groups and once it got assured, the tech firm rolled it out globally. More developments are also expected to be followed in the feature in the coming days.
