German camera-maker has expanded its portfolio by launching its compact C-Lux camera in India. It will be available in Light Gold and Midnight Black colours for Rs 85,000 from August-end in India. The camera features a ‘Leica DC Vario-Elmar 8.8–132 mm f/3.3–6.4 ASPH lens and a 20MP sensor for a continuous shooting at the rate of up to 10 frames per second. The in-built zoom lens offers a 15x zoom with focal length varying from 24 to 360 mm (35mm equivalent). The camera can record videos in 4K quality, and thanks to the integrated connectivity feature, users can share their photos and videos quickly with just a tap on the touchscreen display.
The camera has a maximum ISO sensitivity of 25600 which, the company claims, guarantees pictures with near natural colours when used in any available-light. With its versatile zoom lens, fast autofocus and face detection, the camera offers flexibility in almost all types of photography. Between its fast 49-point focusing system which locks onto the subject reliably and the 10 frame per second shooting speed, the camera will ensure that no fleeting moment is missed. The camera also comes with intuitively selectable scene modes functionality that provides assistance when shooting landscapes, portraits or at night.
The viewfinder of the Leica C-Lux has a 2.33MP resolution and covers 100 percent of the image field. This means that the subjects can be framed with precision and users have control of composition. The camera also offers dioptre compensation settings that allow spectacle wearers to use the viewfinder without any problems. The Leica C-Lux has a three-inch touchscreen display and most of the of the camera’s functions can be controlled by simply tapping the monitor screen. The display screen features a special repellent coating that prevents annoying marks and protects it against fingerprints. You can share the photos and videos via the ‘Leica C-Lux’ app that can be downloaded free of charge and installed on iOS or Android devices.
