Touted as the
"world's first holeless phone", the recently launched Meizu Zero is
now available for pre-ordering via crowdfunding platform Indiegogo.
Priced at $1,299, the
flagship phone has no visible ports, buttons, or holes but works just fine -
thanks to the implementation of several new-age technologies.
Here's how you can order
Meizu Zero
The phone's crowdfunding
campaign is currently live and you can order the device for a payment of $1,299
( approximately Rs. 92,300).
Under this campaign,
which ends on March 1, only 100 units of Meizu Zero are available for ordering.
At the time of writing,
16 units had been claimed and $23,812 was raised out of the $100,000 fixed
funding goal set by Meizu.
Meizu Zero: Display
houses fingerprint scanner, doubles up as speakers
Resembling Galaxy S9, the
Meizu Zero has slim top and bottom bezels with curved sides, ceramic body, and
IP68-rated water-and-dust resistance.
The 5.99-inch full-HD+
AMOLED display houses a fingerprint sensor, so you don't need physical
scanners.
Moreover, the screen uses
Meizu's "mSound 2.0" technology that allows it to double up as a
speaker and earpiece.
The microphones are
hidden away in the bottom edge.
No volume buttons,
charging port, headphone jack and SIM tray
For charging needs, the phone
supports 18W fast wireless charging while an eSIM replaces the SIM card slot.
And obviously, like
several other modern flagships, there's no headphone jack on Meizu Zero.
Further, the physical
volume keys and power buttons have been replaced with haptic feedback-based
virtual buttons placed on the side of the phone.
Meizu Zero is powered by
a Snapdragon 845 chipset
While Meizu Zero is
powered by last year's flagship chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon, other details
about RAM, storage and battery specifications are still unknown.
In terms of camera, the
phone has a dual rear camera setup comprising a 12MP main sensor and a 20MP
telephoto sensor. Up front, it has a 20MP selfie snapper that's housed in the
top bezel.
