What is SAR (specific absorption rate) ?



The SAR (specific absorption rate) rating was first revealed in 1996 when the Federal Communication Comission released specific guidelines on human exposure to cell phone radiation.It is measure to indicate amount of radiation that your head absorbs while using the phone, higher the SAR value higher will be the risk of absorption of radiation into the head. A person cannot absorb more than 1.6 watts of energy per kilogram of body weight, so higher the SAR value higher will be the risk of getting cancerous diseases.
