Long are gone the days when you had to stand in a queue to book tickets for your favorite films, theatre shows, events, etc. In the era of digital, Bookmyshow is a perfect platform to not only just book a ticket for your favorite film, but also tickets for concerts, events, shows, etc. You can watch trailers, read reviews, get discounts, and get to know about all the good things happening around you.
However, there may be times when you have booked a ticket and want to cancel it, and you don't know how to do it. Well, don't worry we are here to help you out.
Cinemas with a Cancellation Feature:
Steps to cancel the tickets:
Step 1: Go to the BookMyShow official website i.e. in.bookmyshow.com
Step 2: Login with your registered email address
Step 3: Go to the hamburger option(right bottom corner)
Step 4: Select the purchase history from the Booking history(right top corner)
Step 5: Select your booking and scroll down to the cancellation option.
Step 6: Click on confirm.
Note: Cancellation feature available for selected cinema only. The refund will be done according to the cancellation policy. To avail the cancellation feature, the users need to be logged in while transacting.
For Superstar Customers:
You can now cancel the tickets booked for the movie until 20 minutes prior to show time in these simple steps:
Step 1: Login on website/application from your registered email address
Step 2: Click on Hamburger option (right bottom corner)and select Superstar and click on Cancellation.
Important information to keep in mind while canceling your tickets
- A superstar customer will be allowed 1 transaction cancellation in 6 months.
- Once you can cancel the ticket, the cancellation amount will be refunded to the source of payment in 4-5 working days, some bank may take 10 working days.
- Internet handling charges are not refunded
- You can't cancel a ticket if you have applied an offer code, payback or loyalty points are applied in the transaction.
- Applied offers, payback and, or, any loyalty points will not be refunded.
- Tickets need to be canceled at least 20 minutes prior to the show timing.
- On cancellation of tickets, 30 percent of the base ticket will be deducted as cancellation fee.
- The cancellation feature will not be available where users split the transaction with each other.
