WhatsApp is planning to introduce a modified version of its frequently forwarded messages feature to its groups that would allow group admins to decide if they want to allow frequently forwarded messages in their groups.
WhatsApp is constantly updating its platform adding new features and functionality to its app. We know that the company has started rolling out Forwarding Info feature on to its beta app for Android and iOS platforms. And now the word is that the Facebook-owned social messaging app is planning to add a new audio picker feature to its app soon.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, the blog that tracks developments in WhatsApp, the social messaging app is changing the user interface for its audio picker feature. Earlier, users could pick just one audio at a time. But now, the company is planning to change that by allowing users to pick multiple audio files at a time. In addition to this, the company is also adding the functionality to preview the audio before users sent an audio file or multiple audio files to their friends and family.
The feature is available as a part of WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.19.89 and it is now available for all Android beta users to use.
Apart from this, WhatsApp is planning to add a modified version of its frequently forwarded messages feature in groups. To recall, WhatsApp recently added a new feature on to its groups allowing WhatsApp users to pick if they want to be added to a certain group. And now the company is planning to add a new feature to its group that would give more control to the group admins as to what information is being shared on their groups.
As per the blog, the social messaging app is planning to add a modified version of its frequently forwarded messages feature to its groups. When enabled, this feature allows group admins to decide if they want to allow members in their group to share frequently forwarded messages in the group chat. This feature is available in Group Settings and is accessible only to the group admins. This feature is still in development and it should be available on WhatsApp's Andoird app in the days to come.
